Archetypes give writers, filmmakers, and other creatives a framework for developing narratives that explore what it is to be human. Character archetypes are not simple templates, but dynamic patterns that inform character motivations and perspectives. They shape the structure of character webs and the dynamics of cooperation and conflict. And they suggest the trajectory of character arcs.
